Holistic approaches in healthcare take into account lifestyle factors in disease (that’s dis-ease) and disease prevention and uses treatments that include lifestyle changes and natural remedies as much as possible.
My holistic approach in treating anxiety, depression, insomnia, and pain include assessment of lifestyle including physical, social, relationship, and recreational variables, exercise and sleep habits.
In the past couple years I have added to my repertoire: mindfulness meditation, aromatherapy, and food as medicine.
